What a memorable day we had, Cooking in the
Cape. Each moment was filled with titillating
smells. We started off with "Vetkoek", a South
African speciality bread, learning how each dish
was prepared. Each course was paired with wines
which complimented the cuisine, right through to
our Pear and Cardamom tart served with a light
dessert wine, followed by a local Grappa - an
experience all on it's own!
I had so many wonderful experiences while
visiting Southern Africa, but somehow, I always
start off by telling my friends and family about
Cook in the Cape experience. We suggested to our
agent, upon returning to the US, that he include
this in the itinerary of all visitors that he
sends to South Africa! |
